Hi! I’m Jesse Schutt. Let me tell you a little about this site.
At the EECI2010 convention in San Francisco, Derek Allard of Ellislab announced the arrival of an awesome new product. Through an upbeat demo video we were introduced to MojoMotor. I had a hard time keeping my jaw from dropping!

As soon as I saw what MojoMotor could do, I was hooked! By harnessing the incredible history of ExpressionEngine with the power of CodeIgniter and simplifying the user interactions, I knew that Ellislab had just released a product that was going to be very helpful to a lot of people. This content management system is a great way for people to be able to easily manage their content without having to possess a significant code knowledge.

As Ellislab has matured as a company, we have seen their products become more intuitive, powerful, and stable. We have also seen a large number of community sites grow surrounding ExpressionEngine and CodeIgniter. It’s no surprise then that MojoMotor-related sites are beginning to pop up. My desire is that The Motorist will be helpful to you by consolidating helpful articles, resources, links, as well as categorizing the growing number of MojoMotor add-ons.
So, please feel free to submit an add-on that isn’t listed, add a community link, or send me a note with ideas for articles.
Let’s try to make this a great MojoMotor resource!

Web development has been a growing hobby of mine over the past 8 years. I remember being fascinated with basic HTML and soon desired to learn more about how the web works. As I look back, I’m very glad that I happened to stumble upon a contest where the prize was a license of ExpressionEngine. No, I didn’t win the contest, but I was certainly intrigued as to what this CMS called ExpressionEngine was. After some research and learning, I built my very first EE site for the non-profit organization I work for. Time and time again I was supported by the vibrant community surrounding EE. And time and time again I was thankful that I had somehow stumbled into it.
I'm particularly interested in how the body class is added when the mojobar is opened! That was one that was hard to get around in the past.
